Trip Schedule - There are Two
One of the signature features of Livery Coach is the Trip Schedule screen (that big bar graph showing trips as horizontal bars). While many of you don’t understand how you can schedule without it, strangely there are a few of you that refuse to admit that it exists. That said, you might want to take another look!
In Livery Coach, we actually have two versions of this Trip Schedule screen, which are written using different programming toolkits.
The version that has been in LiveryCoach.net since the beginning is called “Stacking View”. The primary advantage of this view is that it can be set so that when more than one trip is on the same line at the same time, the line expands so the trips are “stacked” rather than “overlapped”.

The other version, “Overlapping View”, resembles the old look in Livery Coach.
To switch between the two, simply navigate to Reservation…Option…Default Display and make your selection.
Aesthetically, we think that the “overlapping view” is easier to read and provides more functionality—you get a little more on the screen, you have the down arrows to show you future trips in that vehicle, etc. The only thing the Overlapping View can’t do is enlarge the rows so the trips don’t overlap. We have requested the tool developer add that feature, and will continue to pressure them. (Since they aren’t Livery Coach, they don’t seem to be as responsive as we try to be to our customers…)
