Accounting Update
As we all know, whenever you make certain changes in Quickbooks (or Peachtree), you need to update Livery’s copy of that data.
The “traditional” way is to go into Maintain…System Default Config…Accounting Update…and click the Update button.

The issue with the method is that you have to give security permission for all of System Default Config to someone who only needs to do the accounting update…and there are a lot of settings in there that could be inadvertently changed, leading to undesired program behavior.
The answer is to take away permission for System Default Config, and instead give permission for “Accounting Update”

Then, that user can do the accounting update by simply navigating to Maintain…Accounting Update.
This leads to a screen that only allows Accounting Update, without all the other tabs and settings.
Even if you the user needs to still have access to System Default Config, we still recommend using Accounting Update to get to—it’s faster to navigate to, and there is no chance of accidentally clicking on something you didn’t mean to.
